FAQ

Where are you located?

In El Segundo, California. Just south of LAX, right next to the beach.

What does “Down & Dirty, No Frills Recording” mean?

The studio does not look like Capital Records or Warner Bros. It’s DIY.

We invest most of our resources into treating and tuning the rooms we use as well as constantly upgrading and improving our gear selection. The studio may not look pretty, but you’d never be able to tell by the sound.

The toilets are still clean though…

What happens if we go over our booked time slot?

Sessions are rounded down to the hour, so if you book a 2 hour time slot and we go over by 15 mins, there will be no additional charge.

Can I add more time during our session?

As long as we have the time, you absolutely can!

Can I cancel my booked appointment?

Of course, there are no cancellation fees, there are no upfront deposits, we only ask that you give a reasonable amount of notice before cancellation (24-48hrs).

Why do I have to contact you to get a Mix/Master quote?

If you’re just looking to get something mixed and mastered, we ask for a quick 5-10 min phone call to help give us an idea of what you’re looking for. Once we have an idea, we can give you the lowest possible quote for your project.

What payments do you accept?

Any modern form of US currency (Cash, Venmo, Paypal, etc.)

When do I pay for the session?

After we’re done.

Why is the dog never there?
